Meet Myra Jones
My passion for movement and whole-person wellness has been a lifelong journey. I began my education studying dance before taking time to focus on raising my daughter and building a strong family foundation. Those experiences deepened my belief that true health involves caring for the body, mind, and spirit.
My career in health and wellness began in San Diego, California, where I served as a military fitness instructor for 15 years. During that time, I met my husband of more than 30 years. Inspired by helping others improve their health, I returned to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant and have practiced for over 12 years.
For ten years, I had the privilege of serving students at the University of California, Santa Barbara, collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team that included physicians, orthopedic specialists, athletic trainers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, physician assistants, and dietitians. Together, we helped students recover from injury, manage pain, improve well-being, and achieve their academic goals.
At Wellness Collective, my mission is to provide personalized, evidence-informed care that supports wellness, injury recovery, pain management, stress reduction, and improved quality of life. I believe every individual deserves a care plan tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.
I earned my bachelor's degree from Northern Vermont University and am currently completing a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy at Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Integrative Health. This advanced training allows me to integrate evidence-based rehabilitation with the timeless wisdom of yoga therapy, creating a holistic approach that supports lasting healing and resilience.
My vision is to bridge modern healthcare with mindful, integrative practices, empowering clients to restore movement, reduce pain, build resilience, and reconnect with their innate capacity to heal.
